Farm to Table Rehearsal Dinner Inspiration
The “Farm to Table” movement has become incredibly popular these days and we couldn’t be more excited about it. For today’s wedding beauty, Hitched by Heather literally brought the table to the farm for this rehearsal dinner inspiration shoot. With an idea to show couples a casual and fun option for their rehearsal dinner, this amazing team brought a unique rehearsal dinner to life. Birds of a Feather Photography did an amazing job capturing all of the beauty of today’s styled shoot. Thank you for sharing this wedding inspiration with us today!
They changed things up by using a serpentine style table with a check print tablecloth courtesy of La Tavola Linens. The guests dined on all locally sourced foods served family style with pie tins for their plates. In addition, dessert featured mini servings of cobbler in individual size cast iron skillets. Guests also received a stack of recipe cards for each of the menu items. What a fun touch! Favors often get left at the dinner tables after a night of drinking and dancing, but offering your guests a meaningful wedding favor at the rehearsal dinner is a surefire way to make sure these pieces are taken home and cherished. Menus were printed on flour sack towels, another unique touch. After dinner guests pulled up a hay bale and watched family videos of the bride and groom and enjoyed a popcorn snack.
The floral designs and table decor featured seasonal flowers and local produce. The table design was kept casual using wooden bread bowls as vessels for the flowers and wooden pillar candle holders. The rehearsal dinner invitation was full of watercolor fruits and vegetables; we loved that these elements mimicked the food used in the various recipes throughout the meal. Chickens, guinea fowl and ducks roamed the grounds making the experience even more authentic.
