When it comes to fashion inspiring event decor and wedding ideas, it’s not always the glamorous gowns that lead the way. A spring or summer dress or even a patterned jacket can be the foundation for a fabulous wedding event theme. Today, we’re bringing you a team of Washington DC area wedding vendors lead by Elizabeth Duncan Events who created a spring or summer-time wedding event look based off of a preppy gingham jacket by Derek Lam as the inspiration. Ideal for an outdoor wedding in the DMV and beyond, the wedding table look incorporates modern succulents with the classic gingham pattern – perfect for a bridal shower, casual rehearsal dinner, backyard wedding or even a look that blends his and hers. But, it’s the little touches that make the big difference in wedding design – like the adorable place card concept wrapped around a baguette for the guest to eat! Delicious and design friendly! Big thanks to the lovely Sweet Tea Photography for sharing the fashion-to-table images with us!

From Elizabeth: Gingham is everywhere this fashion season, so we took the “it” print-of-the-moment and paired it with rustic and masculine details for the perfect industrial garden-inspired wedding rehearsal dinner.
Thanks Elizabeth for your beautiful fashion-to-table wedding inspiration! Be sure to stick with us over the next few months because we’ll be sharing all of her fashion-meets-wedding inspired ideas with you and you won’t want to miss a single one!
