From Julie: We really enjoyed the “first look.” It wasn’t something we had originally planned to do, but we changed our minds as we got closer to the wedding day and were so happy we did. It was so special to be able to spend time together, just the two of us, before we were thrown into the craziness of the rest of the day.

My family is Italian and my husband’s family is Swiss, so we wanted to incorporate both culture’s traditions. In keeping with Italian wedding tradition, we broke a glass together at the end of the ceremony. The number of pieces of glass is symbolizes the number of happy years of marriage you’ll have.
