Think of this classic wedding in Washington DC as our Monday morning gift to you! Luke and Tim’s sophisticated soiree is classic DC meets traditional elegance, and it’s pretty much the perfect way to jump start a work week. It’s image after image captured by DuHon Photography of pure perfection, planned by Elegance & Simplicity, and you can see it all right here! Be sure to join us this afternoon as we swoon over their reception filled with personal touches and pretty florals!
From Luke: Our colors—hunter green, silver, and cream—were chosen because they were more masculine and allowed us to have lots of fun with florals without breaking the bank. The hunter green was also the color of my family’s erstwhile bookstore, which was famous for its dark green gift boxes for over 100 years.
We’ve only been allowed to get married in DC for a few years, so it was important to us that it be a wedding, not a gay wedding, so we wanted to hit the traditional notes. (Except, maybe, for first dances… that wasn’t going to happen.)
Thank you so much Luke and Tim for sharing your wedding ceremony with us! Be sure to come back later this morning to see their reception. The following Washington DC area wedding professionals contributed to their wedding:
