A dashing groom in uniform, a gorgeous bride in white, and an overall breathtaking wedding in Virginia: this, my lovely readers, are all the makings of a classic military weddings. We’re celebrating our men and uniform all week long with military wedding week, and Kayla and Bryan’s classic affair is the perfect wedding to kick things off with! (Make sure to take a look at their outdoor wedding ceremony, too!) As a nod to their long-distance relationship, their wedding favors were luggage tags in the shapes of airplanes and vintage suitcase used as a card box.
From Kayla: My favorite part about our wedding was all the personal details we put into it. Since we were a long-distance couple prior to our marriage we wanted to try to incorporate that into our special day. Each of our tables were named off of places we had been to together and we had a framed picture of us at each place as part of our table settings.
Kayla’s wedding planning advice for other DC-area couples:
Don’t cut your fiancé out of wedding planning; let him help you make decisions. Remember, it is a day to celebrate the two of you.
