Intimate weddings never fail to make me swoon, especially when they are sweet as Carolyn and David’s wedding in Washington DC. Think gorgeous light, DIY stationery and flowers and stunning images from Sarah Culver Photography. The Hotel Tabard Inn set the scene for this intimate wedding proving the recipe for a seriously gorgeous wedding is being surrounded by the people you love! Make sure you come back later this morning to see more from their relaxed wedding reception!
From Sarah: We wanted our wedding to feel natural and fun, like the celebration that it was instead of a performance. To that end, we picked an intimate venue and invited only 50 of our closest friends and family.
We both agree our “first look” was pretty incredible. Everything was so hectic that morning, and when I first saw him it all fell into place and I felt so relieved and giddy. Having that little bit of time to just ourselves (and our wonderful photographer!) felt special.
A lot at the wedding ended up being handmade, just so we could keep things feeling authentic and not too staged. We did the programs, menus, seating chart, and table numbers ourselves, as well as the flowers. Our friends Chris (one of the groomsmen) and his wife Amber made the beautiful garland structure at the end of the aisle.
Thank you so much Carolyn and David for sharing your wedding ceremony with us! Be sure to come back later this morning to see their reception. The following Washington DC area wedding professionals contributed to their wedding:
