Well, good Monday morning to you! We have a whole lot of pretty coming your way today with Sarah and Stephen’s wedding in St. Michael’s, Maryland. This cute couple are boaters, so the Eastern Shore of Maryland was a perfect fit for their elegant, vintage inspired wedding day. I can’t get enough of their dreamy first look and portrait photographs captured by Cassidy DuHon Photography. We are kicking it off with a little teaser photo from their rehearsal dinner the night before and then right into their wedding ceremony. Do not leave this page until you check out the gorgeous floral arch for their ceremony – amazing! Be sure to come back later this morning to see their reception too.
From Sarah: We wanted to stick to a “vintage elegant” theme for our wedding. We fell in love with St. Michaels when we sailed there a few years ago with my family and have been going back there ever since. Since it is such a beautiful sailing town, we also wanted to incorporate touches of sailboats throughout the wedding. Also, coral is my favorite color so that is how we chose our color palette.
More from Sarah: We wanted a beautiful outdoor ceremony with a beautiful arch as the centerpiece. Our florist definitely delivered in that department! The women guests were given fans in floral boxes that were handmade and hand-embroidered in the Philippines. Also, the flower girls’ dresses were handmade in the Philippines. The male guests from my mom’s side of the family wore the traditional barongs (Filipino version of a tuxedo–dress shirts made out of pineapple fibers). The ring bearer pillow was hand made by my aunt. We also wrote our own vows.
More from Sarah: One of my favorite details was the ceremony arch. I just thought it was absolutely beautiful–the most beautiful wedding arch I had ever seen. Some favorite memories: walking down the aisle with both my mom and my dad.
