Classic to the very core, Kerry and Mike’s Maryland wedding reception at the George Peabody Library in Baltimore, is what sophisticated wedding dreams are made of! (Make sure you first check out their elegant wedding ceremony, too!) Layered with love and gold details, starting with DIY paper goods by the bride to the lush floral design—it’s jam packed with tons of pretty all captured by Meaghan Elliott Photography. Plus, you have to check out their fun (and yummy!) cookie favor bar!

From Kerrie: We had one heck of a party! Everything came together so wonderfully and even the small things that didn’t go exactly as planned didn’t even matter (and I really was the only one who knew) Looking back, I would definitely say that a good DJ can make or break the dance floor. We were so fortunate to have worked with John Paul from Absolute Entertainment. The dance floor was literally never empty once the party started. Mike and I had such a great time and I think that while we made planning decisions, we kept in mind that we wanted to have a great day and that we wanted our guests to have a great day!

I had way too much fun designing our cocktail napkins, and making some of the paper goods (ceremony programs, table top signs, bathroom signs, etc.).

Kerrie’s wedding planning advice for other DC-area couples:

As far as planning, really try to enjoy it and make decisions about your wedding that are reflective of you and your fiancé, even if there are times where you have to adjust a little to keep everyone in mind. At the start, I used a lot of local area blogs to really get a good idea of vendors that I liked in the area. I tried to pick just three to four to meet with and get more specific quotes from. There are just so many great people in the industry that you could go crazy trying to meet with everyone. At some point, I just made decisions. Even when it was tough, it was a relief to know that things were moving forward.
