Are you ready for more vintage-inspired loveliness from Melinda and Kevin’ Baltimore wedding?! I think it goes without saying that we are inspiration junkies over here! (Wait, before you go on, be sure to check out their intimate wedding ceremony – it is beautiful!) We can never get enough, so when we see a pretty-as-can-be Maryland wedding reception – planned by lemon & lime event design and photographed by Sam Hurd Photography – you know we’re loving every minute of it! One of the sweetest details of this day can be found on the tables – they framed love poems, along with the menu card that Kevin used to propose to Melinda.

From Melinda: For decor,We just thought about things that represented us. He likes beer (craft) and I drink champagne. I won out on colors and I chose metallics with magenta accents, as those are my favorite colors. We tied this all together with vintage books to pay homage to the space.

Melinda’s wedding planning advice for other DC-area couples:

There are so many ways to save costs in a wedding and the Internet can be so helpful in finding deals. I have champagne taste, but don’t think that most things are worth the cost for a one day event. I worked with Lemon & Lime to see what I had to pay full price for and what I could get some other way for less money. For example, I wanted all-sequin table clothes and looked for a million ways to get them for less than $50 or more per linen. However, I found a company online that had gorgeous sequin runners for $15 a piece. It was a perfect compromise that probably was for the best anyway!
