Wedding lovers, you are in for the prettiest of treats this fine Tuesday morning! A perfectly planned Washington DC wedding should appear effortlessly stunning from the vows to the last dance, all while entirely capturing the style and personality of the couple. And that, my friends, is exactly what describes Deirdre and Matt’s celebration at The Textile Musuem. So, sit back and stay while and let the Jillian Michelle Photography images tell the whole gorgeous story! Don’t forget to come back later this morning to see even more!
From Deirdre: Oh my gosh the vision for the wedding changed so many times! We were getting frustrated with trying to find someplace in the city we both loved as the venue. We got ot the point where we split up to view various venues (divide and conquer strategy). Matthew went to The Textile Museum first and said I had to visit. So I made plans to go and see for myself. As soon as I stepped into the gorgeous backyard gardens, I just knew this is where we would get married! And from there, all the details seemed to fall into place.
It was real important to me to make sure my parents and Matthew’s mom knew how much we love and appreciate them so I created customized handkerchiefs (with the help of Etsy) with a personalized note for each of them.
Our bridal party included all of our seven brothers/sisters/and sisters-in-law and all seven nieces and nephews (except for one sister-in-law and nephew who was born a week before the wedding!). And since the gardens are so gorgeous on their own, I chose neutral colors for the bridesmaids. After deciding on champagne/nude for my ladies, I chose white and pink as flower colors to compliment the ladies’ dresses.
Thank you so much Dierdre and Matt for sharing your wedding ceremony with us! Don’t forget to come back later this morning to see their reception. The following Washington DC area wedding professionals contributed to their wedding:
