Welcome back for the second half of Liz and Mark’s Baltimore wedding reception! Be sure to check out their traditional wedding ceremony, too!) I hope you are ready to get your glamour on! Their reception with lush green and elegant touches of gold is full of glamorously inspired details, and a floral design from Victoria Clausen that has truly knocked our socks off! CinematicbyDavidM was there to capture all of the incredible décor and fun.
From Liz: Throughout the night, we incorporated things to represent our interests and our lives together. All these details came through as the guests were there celebrating with us and we wouldn’t change a thing. Every detail from our color scheme to the cakes, the drinks, songs, and more were uniquely ours. We wanted our guests to have a night they’d remember forever and I think we managed to pull it off.
Our reception was held at Baltimore Country Club which has been a very important part of our lives. It was only fitting that we invite all our friends and family there after our wedding ceremony. Our main wedding color was green which was chosen since it’s my groom’s favorite color. Weddings are typically centered around the bride but I wanted Mark’s personality to show throughout our day just as much as mine! It was very important that he enjoyed the planning and final product as much as I did, so you won’t find any hot pink in our wedding!
Our “guest book” was inspired by our engagement story. We were celebrating our anniversary at The Inn at Perry Cabin and Mark had reserved a private room for tea (one of my favorite family traditions). We enjoyed delicious sandwiches, desserts, and treats throughout the tea but afterwards, in came a bottle of our favorite champagne. When the waiter showed me the bottle to approve I noticed it was engraved with “Will You Marry Me?” As I began to turn around, I saw Mark on bended knee. It was a very special moment for us so we decided we wanted all our guests to be a part of our story by signing a larger version on our wedding day. We have the bottle displayed in our home, next to the bottle used for our engagement and we read the messages often. It’s a wonderful reminder of all those who were with us on our wedding day.
