To Make:

Place apples (peeled, cored and quartered) in slow cooker. In a medium bowl, whisk together the sugars, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, and salt. Pour mixture over apples and gently stir to combine.

Cover and cook on low for about 10 hours, stirring occasionally.

Next, remove cover and use an immersion blender to puree the apple butter until completely smooth. Continue cooking uncovered on low for about 2 hours.

Allow the apple butter to cool completely before canning. Now, I am most certainly not an expert in canning, so I followed Martha Stewart’s canning suggestions. I recommend you do the same!

Once you can-up your butter and allow the jars to cool and dry completely, print out the free favor jar labels using a sheet of Avery labels size #22807. Peel the labels from the sheet and stick onto the top of the jar lids. To finish, I tied my jars with a piece of twine and a cinnamon stick (because it smells awesome)!

Be sure to store your jars in a cool, dry place before your wedding!
