If you need a little something to kick start your day and warm you up, today’s vibrant Washington DC wedding from Timmester Photography will certainly do the trick! With a perfect contrast of bright fuschia, chartreuse green against a deep navy blue give Kate and Dennis’ wedding a modern yet playful feel – a color palette inspired by the bride’s Kate Spade shoes! I love that Kate and Dennis incorporated so many personal details throughout their day, including the traditional Filipino wedding ceremony traditions of the cord, coins, and veil. Be sure to join us later this morning to see their bright and modern reception!
From Kate: We really wanted our wedding to be bright, colorful, and fun. To do this we knew the venue needed to be more than your standard hotel ballroom to set the scene. We fell in love with the ballroom at the Hotel Monaco and also loved that our reception would be in the same place as our first date, which was brunch at Poste. From there, we picked our colors (fuchsia, chartreuse green, and navy) based off of a pair of Kate Spade shoes that I fell in love with and tried to incorporate fun patterns and textures where we could.
