Even though this is the week of Christmas, we have New Year’s Eve on the brain! If you are getting married in the Washington DC area (or any area, really!) on this NYE or next, hold onto your confetti today and for the rest of the week! We have a beautiful four-part wedding inspiration shoot full of sophisticated ideas for any wedding celebration on or around New Year’s Eve. This is a perfect time of year to be married, but where is the inspiration beyond the red and green Christmas left-overs!?
First up in our NYE series, we have bride and groom portraits and a ceremony for a New Year’s Eve wedding in Virginia all photographed by Rachel May Photography. The ladies at Ashlee Virginia Events had a vision of stepping up the celebration a notch with soft pinks and sparkly golds. With the groom’s boutonniere made from a noise maker to the count-down clock of aisle flowers, this wedding ceremony couldn’t be better! (Or, more indicative of the DC area with a fresh snow fall!) Come back all this week to see even more New Year’s wedding ideas!
From Ashlee Virginia Events: New Years Eve can be a tricky, sparkly holiday to style a wedding for. So many couples have used left-over Christmas decorations that tend to underwhelm the New Year celebrations. Let’s be honest, who wants to kick start the new year with a bunch of leftovers?! Here at Ashlee Virginia Events, we adore all things pink gold, and glittery! We therefore knew that was the perfect idea for the event design creation.
From Ashlee Virginia Events: Incorporating the ombre 3, 2, 1 flowers down the aisle were so much fun. It was the perfect way to incorporate New Years Eve theme into the design. Petals and Hedges did such an amazing job on all the florals, we couldn’t ask for a better florist to make our vision come true! Rachel May Photography captured the images perfectly! We would like to give a big shout out to all the vendors who braved the snow storm that hit the day of the shoot! We couldn’t have done it without you! Cheers to the New Years!
Happy New Year! I hope that you were as inspired as we were with this post full of New Year’s Eve wedding ideas. As we said, don’t forget to come back all this week for more New Year’s Eve wedding inspiration. A special thank you to all of the Washington, DC area wedding vendors who contributed to this shoot:
