Candy Supplies:

To Make:

In a bowl, microwave one package of candy melts for one minute. Stir thoroughly. Continue to microwave and stir at 30-second intervals until candy is smooth and completely melted. These  30-second intervals are essential – if candy is overheated, it will loose its proper consistency and clump up!

For the White House mold: Fill completely with white candy melts and let it set in the refrigerator for at an hour. Simple enough, right?

For the US Capitol Mold: Fill in bushes with green candy melts and use a toothpick to fill and spread to prevent any over spill. Let it set in the fridge for half an hour. Next, fill in the Capitol building with white candy melts and again, use a toothpick to fill in small areas. When you’re done, tap the mold against your work surface to take out any air bubbles. Set in fridge for about an hour. Finally, fill the rest of the mold with the blue candy melts, and go over the bushes and building to create a smooth, even finish. Set for an hour.

When both candy molds are completely set, they will easily pop out of the mold.
