Welcome to Eileen and Greg’s sunny, summery wedding in Virginia! After the ultimate long-distance relationship through the Peace Corp in the Ukraine, Greg proposed to Eileen in…Paris! How romantic?? For their wedding ceremony, they were inspired by the beautiful, natural setting of a goat farm in Virginia. With simple vintage touches, sunflowers, mismatched bridesmaid dresses and Lisa Maria from Sweet Tea Photography there to capture it all, this jet-setting couple was married one gorgeous summer day!

From Eileen:  or our wedding, the venue really gave us direction and inspiration for how we wanted the day to look and feel. Khimaira Farm is both beautiful and comfortable, and this elegant but quirky little goat farm led to finishing touches that included different vintage table linens and goat cake toppers. Our favorite colors, yellow and green, also translated nicely as our wedding colors to create a “country chic” feel to the decor.

From Eileen:  Because we met in while serving in the Peace Corps, Ukraine and its culture was a big influence on the day. Andrew, our officiant and also a volunteer serving with us in Ukraine, incorporated certain wedding traditions in the ceremony. This included the use of a rushnik, an embroidered family heirloom. There were also certain traditional games played by us and the wedding guests during the reception. Ukraine even inspired the choice of sunflowers, which grow in abundance and cover fields all over Ukraine.
