Welcome back to Meredith and Matt’s fall-tasitc wedding in Virginia! Don’t miss their outdoor wedding ceremony! They definitely embraced the gorgeous fall season here in the DC area and infused it into their wedding reception. They used everything from pumpkins to wheat in a chic way to give their wedding a rustic fall vibe, but also kept is very elegant and traditional. After a few photos with  Kelly Ewell Photography after their ceremony, this cute couple headed to their reception and looked like they had a lot of fun! Be sure to scroll to the end because we have their wedding trailer video from Villatoro Productions and it is too cute!

From Meredith: Our goal was to throw the best party ever and we adopted the mantra that “as long as we are married at the end of the day and everyone had fun, it was a success.” This helped to quickly identify our priorities as food, beverages, and fun (entertainment). I loved the way the music set the tone for the day. A string trio playing classical music at the ceremony, a jazz trio kicked things up in the barn during cocktail hour, and a DJ got the party in full swing during the reception. Seeing guests of all ages on the dance floor and hearing everything from Carolina Beach music to 70’s to top 40 was so fun. I will never forget my husband and I dancing with his grandmother and great aunt to “Party Rock” by LMFAO.

Meredith’s advice for other DC area couples:

Don’t get discouraged if you can’t find exactly what you want, the DC area is full of options and more just waiting to be discovered. The original venue that I wanted to look at was booked through 2014, but she referred us to Suzi at Riverside on the Potomac. They weren’t planning to book weddings until 2013, but decided to move up the date for us and we had the honor of being their first wedding! Vendors are a great resource to other vendors and as long as you are flexible, you can easily pull your dream wedding together. People thought we were crazy to try to plan a wedding in four and half months, but we were able to have everything we dreamed of and then some!

As a special bonus, we have their wedding trailer from Villatoro Productions to share!
