Shannon and Ryan has a very sweet and romantic wedding in Virginia at the picturesque Merriweather Manor in Leesburg. My favorite detail has to be her gorgeously lush bridal bouquet! With soft pinks and white tones, they had a wedding that looked not only, fun, but also super laid-back, even though I know they put a lot of work into it! I especially appreciate that they were able to rely on such good friends and family to help out. Documentary Associates was there to capture all of the fun!

From Shannon: We wanted our wedding to have a romantic yet relaxed feel. I have always loved the rustic look and Virginia certainly accommodates that taste with all of the beautiful farms and manor homes to choose from. I also knew I wanted blush pink flowers and bridesmaid dresses, so for inspiration I went straight to Pinterest and found the perfect palette and tons ideas to bring it all together. It was very exciting to see our vision come to life.

From Shannon:  We both grew up in the D.C. area but met in Las Vegas, so our florist designed a boutonnière with a King of Hearts playing card to add a little Vegas flare on our day.

From Shannon: We were over budget and couldn’t afford a videographer, so we had friends take videos and send them to us. I later edited them together to music with iMovie. Although it’s not high quality, it means more to me than any professional video would have. Also, our friends and family played a huge part in our wedding. A close friend of ours designed our wedding invitations and programs, which made them extra personal and unique. Another friend was our DJ and since he knows us so well, he knew exactly how to get the party going. Also, my husband’s cousin Joey wrote and performed a song specifically for us. Lastly, two of my uncles are ministers and were the officiants which made the ceremony extra special.
