We are back with more of Rebecca and Jason’s wedding in DC at The Hay Adams. (Did you see their wedding ceremony and their incredible post-ceremony portraits here!?) For their reception they were able incorporate books and family photos to truly design a reception that reflected them as a couple. Love that! And, Andrew from Connor Studios was able to help them take full advantage of those views of the monuments from the rooftop of the hotel. Amazing!
From Rebecca: The photography was important to us and so we splurged on that a little. We didn’t have anywhere to travel between ceremony and reception so we certainly skipped on the fancy car transport. We actually ended up having some extra funds for the caterer and were able to offer a coffee bar at the end of the evening, which was nice. At the entrance to the reception, we had framed pictures of our parents and our grandparents on their wedding days.
Rebecca’s advice to other DC area wedding planning couples:
A wedding planner like Elizabeth is a wonderful asset! It was especially nice for us, since Jason and I live out of town and my parents work full-time, leaving less opportunity to scope out all the options.
