It can be tough to combine elegant and rustic, since they are completely opposite themes, but Ashley and Eric pulled it off just beautifully for their wedding in Maryland from the ladies at Birds of a Feather Photography. Using soft pinks, creams and a hint of mint, their wedding ceremony outside was just fantastic! I love when a couple takes advantage of nature and their surroundings to help to make their wedding ceremony gorgeous! Sometimes all it takes is a pretty rose bush and a whole lot of incredible light! And, don’t forget to come back for more from their reception.
From Ashley: Eric and I had been dating for just under nine years when we were engaged. Needless to say I had all of the details laid out in my mind for when the time came! We wanted a non-denominational ceremony and a venue with history. Most importantly, I wanted our wedding day to reflect who we both are: fun, Laid back, non-formal, silly, and completely taken with one another!
More from Ashley: I love absolutely everything! It would be too difficult to choose just one detail. But, at the top of my list of memories would be our ceremony vows. Anyone that has met Eric knows he is a little reserved and introverted, having him write and recite his own vows in front of our 100 guests made me even more pleased to have been standing up there with him becoming his wife.
Thank you so much Ashley and Eric for sharing your wedding ceremony. Come back a little bit later for their reception. The following Washington DC area wedding vendors contributed to their wedding:
