Love is in the air! Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and this week we’ve been all about the romantic wedding inspiration in honor of Cupid. Today, we’re bringing you this adorable Valentine’s Day-inspired wedding ideas photo shoot from Dogwood Events. Typically, Valentine color palettes consist of shades of reds and pinks, but this pairs red with pops of blue—yes, blue!—all beautifully captured by Kristen Gardner Photography and those gorgeous flowers by Holly Heider Chapple Flowers! These ideas would be lovely for a wedding around Valentine’s Day or a bridal shower in February, or even a romantic dinner for two! Be sure to check out the behind the scenes video below from Tyler Herrinton Media!
From Courtney at Doogwood Events: We wanted to create a romantic Valentine’s Day wedding dinner for two that mixed modern and antique design elements. We chose an unexpected color palette of cobalt blue with pops of red, white and gold to play off of the mural on the walls in the room. We wanted to stay away from the typical pink, red and hearts that are associated with Valentine’s Day and put together some non-traditional Valentine elements.
We decided on a fun blue and white table cloth with a modern pattern and set our table with gold flatware and gold-rimmed glasses. Holly Chapple created unbelievably beautiful red and white arrangements for our table in white ceramic containers that are a modern version of antique milk glass vases. Belmont Country Club created a Valentine’s appetizer trio with a tomato bisque shooter, seared scallop and a brie and berry bite.
Our beautiful bride wore an incredible white lace Angel Sanchez dress and later changed into a fun red Monique Lhuillier dress. She carried a beautiful red and white bouquet with gold-toned accents that was tied with red velvet and polka dotted ribbon. Our groom wore a navy blue suit with a lavender shirt and a blue and red bow tie and then changed into a grey suit with a blue shirt and a pink tie.
