We’re whisking you away to the beautiful gardens of Antrim 1844 this morning for a wedding ceremony in Maryland from Timmester Photography with the prettiest blue and white color palette. Lauren and Adam involved many a family member in the Jewish traditions throughout the day, and had the most beautiful Chuppah, covered in baby’s breath and hydrangea, to stand under for the final “I do’s.” I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, blue is one of my favorite wedding colors! Don’t miss their reception, too!

From Lauren: The night after Adam and I got engaged we stayed up until the wee hours of the morning talking about two things: how much fun we wanted our wedding to be, and who wanted to have there. Our friends and family are extremely important to us, and as much as we wanted them there to witness our marriage, we also just wanted to throw them a great party! We wanted our wedding to be a beautiful and fun celebration of the beginning of our lives together, as well as a chance for some of the most important people in our lives to meet each other and kick back and relax. We purposefully picked a wedding date in late May when we knew the beautiful gardens at Antrim 1844 (our venue) would be in full bloom, and this provided an amazing backdrop for our outdoor garden ceremony.

We chose a color palette of blues, greens, and purples which have always been my favorite colors, and which created a romantic and soothing atmosphere. Though I’m not sure that we had an actual “theme” per se, I would say that our wedding had an overall flavor of a classy, vintage garden party.

My favorite memory from our wedding day was our Ketubah signing ceremony. We had only our immediate family members at the ceremony which made it very private and intimate. Having our family members standing around us as we officially became married was an amazing feeling. I was so happy to be marrying Adam, but knowing that we had so much support behind us as we made this big step in our life was amazing.

We were so happy that we were able to include many of our family members into various aspects of our Jewish ceremony. Our beautiful chuppah that was constructed by our floral designer also incorporated Adam’s late grandfather’s talit, we drank from Kiddush cups from both sides of our families, and all of our immediate family members came forward during the ceremony to recite the traditional Seven Blessings. Our families are very important to us, and having their support and involvement on our wedding day made the day even more special for us.
