Liz and Kevin chose the Montgomery County Agricultural History Farm for their Maryland wedding, photographed by Sweet Tea Photography, and let it dictate the rest of their big day. They stuck with a casual vibe and rustic, DIY details to play perfectly with their venue’s look and set a cohesive tone. They then infused everything with a very personal and quirky touch, like reading from Calvin & Hobbs at their ceremony and showcasing their hobbies at the reception (Up next!).

From Liz: Our wedding was snappy farm casual (yeah, we made that up). The goal was for our guests to be comfortable and just have fun. We really embraced the farm location by sticking with simple DIY and rustic decorations.

Our favorite memory was definitely the ceremony. We kept it short and intimate with a very small bridal party. The music was written just for us by a favorite musician, Clem Snide. The ceremony we wrote together was a nod to our backgrounds and our goofiness right down to the reading from Calvin & Hobbes. It was a perfect moment.
