Happy Monday, and hooray for blue weddings! I feel like blue isn’t a color you often see star in a wedding, perhaps because the flower choices are limited. But, that makes the few blue weddings we do see, just that much more exciting! Stacy and Howard’s early summer Virginia wedding from Marvelous Things Photography was a picturesque farm affair, with delicate hues of sky-blue popping up throughout as they said “I do,” lakeside. And you’ll want to come back in a just a bit to see the reception, where the groom got his DIY on. Yes, the groom!
From Stacy: We wanted a rustic, country, outdoor farm wedding. Our vision was to have the relaxed feel of an afternoon summer BBQ.
A favorite memory is when I read my journal entry from the day I first knew Howard was the One. Another great memory was when my friend, Stephanie, sang two very special songs.
Our top priorities were to honor God, to create a laid back atmosphere where we could enjoy the day with our family and friends, and to ensure the wedding reflected our personalities. We splurged on the photographer and the venue. We wanted a beautiful setting and great pictures to capture the day.
