Happy Monday! Let’s kick off the week with a little something modern and vibrant, shall we? Shelley and William’s Washington DC wedding from Alex at Cherry Blossom Events took place at the Shakespeare Theatre Company, in the Sidney Harman Hall to be exact. The venue was a great blank slate for a sleek ceremony with minimal, but dramatic, decor. You’ll see a few hints at their orange color palette in their stunning invitations, but you’ll have to come back for their reception (up next!) where it really makes it’s statement.
From Shelley: We wanted a chic city wedding. When we started planning we were looking for a venue that really made you feel like you were in the city-either from the view or the decor. The color palette at Sidney Harman Hall pushed us to use orange as one of our colors (which I would not have normally chosen) which developed into a color scheme that was vibrant and modern.
My favorite memory from the day is walking down the aisle to husband! The room at Sidney Harman Hall that we used for our ceremony was a blank slate and our wedding planner, Alex Pare, transformed it into a warm, romantic space. When I entered that room and Bill was at the other end of the aisle it was amazing!
