Rustic seamlessly meets fresh and clean in today’s Virginia wedding from Kristen Gardner Photography at Whitehall Manor. Nicole and Rudy chose a simple green and white color palette, with beautiful accents of twine and a glamorous ceremony backdrop. I love that the laughs started long before the wedding reception ever began, and that Nicole incorporated so many family members, and heirlooms, into their day. Laughter and love is what it’s all about!

Simple Twine Tied Wedding Invitations

From Nicole: My uncle was our ceremony officiant, and I wore my grandmothers tennis bracelet that each of my cousins and siblings wore during their own weddings. I also wore my mother’s pearls for the ceremony.

Green and White Outdoor Wedding Ceremony in Virginia

I think my favorite memory is watching all of the people get seated for the ceremony as I watch them, listening to Gracenotes play our music. It was nice to not have the attention for one minute and just watch others.

Ceremony String Music

There were so many things I loved about our wedding. It is funny to hear myself say that because I didn’t particularly enjoy the planning process, but that day- was just amazing! I think our ceremony was so “us” that I would choose that. Highlighting three things: the ceremony music was AMAZING. There is nothing better than a violin and a guitar playing Nickel Creek! Also, there was an arch on site that I thought was too formal for us so I had it decorated with white fabric and beading with flowers throughout the beads. It looked so beautiful. And lastly, I think my husband said ” I do” 4 times. We laughed throughout the entire ceremony and it was just perfectly us.
