After Nicole and Rudy’s sweet and fun outdoor wedding ceremony from Kristen Gardner Photography their reception kicked off with a “mint for each other” mojito bar. As guests entered the intimate reception, they were greeted with a perfectly rustic-meets-elegant seating chart, calligraphed on an old window. And at the end of the night, they left with a sweet sendoff — red velvet whoopie pies. Yum!
From Nicole: We wanted our wedding to be a “relaxed rustic” party!
Nicole’s advice to other DC-area couples:
I think my only advice would be keep calm and carry on- and hire a day of coordinator! It was 100% worth the money. Who wants to set up their own reception?! I used Wedding Wire reviews like they were a rule book of who you can and can’t trust! I feel like I had the most amazing vendors, and it is because of that research that we had them. Also, try to enjoy those small details at your wedding that you thought were just SO important to have!
