Today’s bride was pretty in pink on her wedding day and we love it! From a blush colored dress to those feminine blooms and sweet hair clip, Marie’s wedding day look was just the first nod to the non-traditional theme as she said “I do” to Matthew in an intimate Alexandria, Virginia wedding ceremony. This duo knew how to have fun after the rings were exchanged, with light-hearted photos from Linkowitz Photography, and comical Mad Libs for guests to fill out. Just wait until you see the photo booth in their reception, coming up next!

From Marie: From the start, we wanted our wedding to be small and intimate where close friends and family would enjoy their time in a unique, laid back setting. We moved away from the traditional kind of wedding and made it into something that fit our personalities – retro, classy and fun.

Since our wedding was very non-traditional, there was one cultural element we did incorporate into the ceremony which derives from both our backgrounds. I am originally Lebanese and part of Matthew’s family is of Lebanese descent. Because of that, we had two of our close friends read snippets from The Prophet which is by the Lebanese poet Khalil Gibran.

We had so much fun reading the Wedding Mad Libs our friends and family filled out for us. But mostly being around those who are closest and dearest to us is what made it such a special and memorable day.
