Jenny and Mike dreamed of a vineyard wedding, so when they couldn’t find a local option to fit their needs, they brought the vineyard to them. Their wedding, as captured by Elizabeth Ryan Photography, was a vision in classic fall colors, with hints of wine country sprinkled about. If you’re planning a September or October wedding, you’re gonna want to see this, and you’ll want to check part two right here too!
From Jenny: We wanted our wedding to be classy but fun. I had a vision of a vineyard wedding and since we did not find a vineyard in MD that we liked we brought the Tuscan vineyard style to the waterfront at The Oaks. The bridesmaids dresses were aubergine which is a wine color. We used vines, grapes, and autumn colors in the bouquets, centerpieces, and in our outdoor decorating for the ceremony.
I am Italian and my father and I traveled to Italy years ago. I fell even more in love with the landscape, and of course the wine! I knew I wanted to incorporate parts of Italy wherever I could. Mike and I hope to travel there sometime in the near future.
