We’re back in our enchanted forest daydream that is Kate and Josh’s wedding from The Observatory. If you missed their ceremony, find it right here, before you get lost in their lush and whimsical reception decor, filled with moss, branches and rich green and purple hues. This wedding goes to show just how far unique linens, dramatic lighting and out-of-the-box centerpieces can go, and it’s sure to leave you feeling inspired!
From Kate: My favorite detail of the wedding day were my flowers. I absolutely loved the small touches from the moss balls to the mushrooms to the way they were lit to the branches. I spent a lot of one-on-one time working with my florist to ensure that the flowers were just right and showcased an organic, enchanted forest.
Kate’s advice to other DC-area couples:
My tips for a DC-area couple is to be on the same team. Planning a wedding is extremely stressful, but if you and your future husband act as a team you will be able to have fun and enjoy this time together. In terms of the wedding planning, before doing anything I would determine what is most important to you, ensure that those things are perfect and then don’t sweat the smaller stuff.
