It’s time to kick up the glamour another notch with Lisa and Bernard’s reception from Laurie Bracewell Photography! (Check out there ceremony right here.) At every turn there was a touch of sparkle, a fitting complement to their dramatic purple florals and stunning gold chairs. And how cute are those custom Hershey Kisses!? Quite the perfect nod to the romance and love that filled their reception.
From Lisa: Our wedding was fabulous. It was intimate, romantic, and religious. It was just what we wanted. The food was fantastic; the setting was elegant. Our guests had a great time. The DJ was spectacular. And, we started right on time!
My favorite detail was the floral arrangements – roses with other flowers mixed in to create a vibrant setting. We had tall settings and smaller ones with crystals hanging from the vases to create the “bling” look we wanted. We also splurged on lighting and had pin lighting at each table to help create the romantic look
Lisa’s advice to other DC-area couples:
I would recommend using a check list or tool planner, we relied on one, and hire a good wedding coordinator. Have a budget but be flexible; ours definitely increased because we ended up getting lighting, fabric, and smaller items that we didn’t anticipate. So, prioritize on what would make your day most memorable!
