Tracy knew exactly where she wanted to say “I do,” even before Jason popped the question! The St. Regis Washington DC was the perfect setting for the ethereal and elegant wedding the couple imagined. The grand, yet refined, backdrop paired with their choice romantic hues made for a dreamy vision in pink, brought to life by Eli Turner Studios’ photographs.

From Tracy: The first thing I had in mind was the site. I had wanted to get married at the St. Regis for years and years. To me, there is not a more beautiful site in DC. There is a vintage inspired intimate elegance to it that just spoke to me. I suppose the words that would describe my wedding are: vintage, intimate, ethereal, and refined.

I had also picked out my dress a few years back. My Mom has a subscription to several wedding magazines and when they would come in the mail she’d flip through them and show me dresses to which I always said, “no” to every one of them. I only ever said I liked one dress and I made note of it and it worked out that it was still being made a couple years later. When I tried it on it was perfect. I love the Chantilly lace and the capped sleeves with scalloped back. It was different than what you typically see. Demure and timeless.

Jewish tradition says that there needs to be a chuppah at the wedding. However, visually I am not a fan of the chuppah. I spoke with our Rabbi because I wanted something non-traditional and I preferred something more organic looking. After some discussion I sketched a design that the Rabbi and I both could live with. Our florist was able to create it by hand for us with four poles wrapped in branches, topped with a circular domed made from branches and hand wired roses interspersed.
