Brooke and Craig’s wedding had a beautiful palette of aqua and purple, a touch of whimsy and a hint of vintage. They said “I do” just outside Baltimore and I don’t know what I love more about their day, the colorful details (many designed by the bride herself!) or the stunning lighting in every outdoor shot from Shelby Leigh Photography. Don’t forget to check back later for their cute and quirky reception, too!

From Brooke: I would say that our wedding day was a perfect reflection of who Craig and I are. Every detail of the day meant something to us, and to our family & friends, which is exactly what we wanted. It was a full of color, it had whimsical elements, it was a fun party…but it was also elegant, romantic, and full of love at the same time. I knew when starting the planning process that I wanted vintage elements, because I have an obsession with all things vintage, (I mean, who doesn’t?!), so I knew it would go in that direction.

Turquoise/aqua is my ultimate favorite color, so I knew that it was a color we would use. The complimentary color came after we went dress shopping and found the purple dresses that the bridesmaids wore. The purple and turquoise color theme felt sort of whimsical to me, so I thought it would work perfectly for our day.

One of my favorite details was my dress or, more specifically, the floral belt that went with my dress. I fell in LOVE with it. I actually had it unattached from my dress and made into a separate belt so that I could wear it again…Of course, every time I try to wear it out to dinner, it just feels a little too fancy! It definitely screamed “Brooke,” and I felt completely beautiful, completely myself in that dress, with that belt.
