We’re off to the quiet, Northeast Washington DC neighborhood of Brookland today to check out St. Francis Hall, a unique wedding venue that’s a bit off the beaten path.  St. Francis Hall’s doors open up to an airy space, large enough for up to 250 guests, and with spectacular, soaring cielings.  It’s located next to a beautiful Franciscan Monastery, with gardens that make for the perfect pre-reception photo op.  Because once you head inside this venue you won’t want to leave!

Built in 1931, the building offers magnificent Renaissance-era architectural details and arches. Hard wood floors, romantic lighting and ample free parking are just a few of the wedding venue rarities that St. Francis Hall boasts.  Victoria and Carl took advantage of these perks and held their fall wedding reception there, enjoying the included table and chair rentals and that fabulous unobstructed dance floor, with Amie Otto Photography there to capture it all!

With those high ceilings and large windows, St. Francis Hall has impeccable lighting making for fabulous photos and happy photographers.  Katie Stoops’ photos from Mary and Chris’ wedding show just how much light the space can be flushed with and how perfect the built-in stage and sound system is for bands who are ready to get the party started!
