What do you get when you put together two people in love, lots of friends and family to support them and loads of popcorn and candy? Oh, and carousel rides, don’t forget those! Why, Becky and Brian’s wedding video from humanstory films, of course! William and Martin from humanstory films helped Becky and Brian to document their wedding at Glen Echo Park in Maryland. I’ll stop blabbing and let their love story speak for itself. Enjoy your next 6 minutes and 8 seconds. I promise it will be worth it!
From Becky: When planning our wedding, Brian and I set out to throw exactly the kind of party we would want to attend. Glen Echo Park was non-negotiable for us; we reserved our date the day after we got engaged. We wanted our summer evening wedding to be casual, relaxing, and a little bit playful. There’s something very romantic about a state fair, and we wanted to bring that aesthetic to our décor.
More from Becky: Our ceremony was officiated by a close family friend who has known me since I was four and is the mother of one of my bridesmaids. Standing onstage was completely surreal, and reading our personalized vows was terrifying. I remember walking into the reception and seeing the most wonderful, incongruous assortment of friends and family standing together in one room. Our first dance was Buddy Holly’s Dearest, and then my dad and I rick-rolled the crowd for the father-daughter dance. There was a ridiculous amount of food; though I was too excited to eat most of it, I prioritized French fries and ice cream. I loved dancing under paper lanterns and twinkle lights. Our amazing D.J. Evan always seemed to know what song I wanted to hear next…It was a perfect night, and Brian and I treasure every second of it.
Thank you so much, Becky and Brian for sharing your love story with us! If you want to see more of this fun-loving couple, you can check out their wedding photographs on Blink Photography’s blog here.
