Happy Turkey week everyone! I’m sure most of us are getting ready to head elsewhere for the Thanksgiving holiday, but first we have a lovely fall wedding from Jan Michele Photography to share with you! Karen and Paul were married last fall at lovely River Farm in Virginia, working with the ladies of Events in the City to make sure the day went off without a hitch. To complement the season, Karen and Paul incorporated beautiful fall colors – purples, reds, and oranges – along with lots of apples and other fun details throughout the wedding.
From Karen: We didn’t have a particular vision in mind when we first started planning, but once we selected our venue and imagined how beautiful it would look in the fall, we quickly decided that we wanted it to have a fall look to it.
To incorporate our families, we displayed framed family wedding photos of both of our parents, as well as several sets of grandparents. In addition, my mother’s and grandmother’s wedding bands were tied into my bouquet as the “something old” and “something borrowed.”
One of my favorite moments from our wedding day was walking back down the aisle with my new husband. I also loved having some time alone to take photos following the ceremony.
