If this post had your heart going pitter-patter, then this venue tour is going to have you head over heels in love. The George Peabody Library is a research library in Baltimore that happens to rent out the grandest, most magnificent space for your wedding ceremony and reception. If you and yours are book worms and have a guest count of 200 or under, I think your venue search has concluded!
Shannon and Alex choose The Peabody Library for both their ceremony and reception. Yes, those six tiers of stately books and columns were the backdrop for their “I dos” and their celebration afterwards. While the room is converted from ceremony to dinner and dancing, guests are able to enjoy some of the library’s collections in it’s Exhibit Room. And, as you can see, the couple took that opportunity to have a little photography fun with their photographers, Love by Serena, amongst the shelves and shelves of books.

Katie Stoops captured this gorgeous reception at the George Peabody Library where the stack room was once again transformed into an elegant dinner and dancing space. Julia and Jon took the library theme a step farther by designing centerpieces of card catalog drawers and candles wrapped in dictionary pages. As you can see the library provides the grandness of soaring ceilings while managing to feel intimate for the sure to be intellectual guests.
