As summer began, you may recall my slight infatuation with peonies, but fall is swiftly rolling in and that brings about a new flower to fawn over: dahlias. Popping up mid-summer, these blooms keep on coming throughout the fall months, and I’m not complaining! They come in a whole rainbow of colors and almost as many different sizes and varieties. From the palest pink dinner plate dahlias to vibrant petite varieties, these local blooms are autumn favorites of our area florists, and it’s not hard to see why.
