Breathtaking. That’s about the only word I can use to sum up today’s engagement session from Tahni of Joyeuse Photography. Jenny and Rick celebrated their engagement with a picnic on a parachute at Barboursville Vineyards, a personal and perfect tribute to his former role as a paratrooper in the army and their love of Charlottesville’s wine country. And, if the lighting doesn’t make your heart skip a beat, I don’t know what will!
From Jenny: We have really enjoyed our time in Charlottesville over the past two years and have loved visiting the many different wineries that can be found in Albemarle County. Rick is working towards his graduate degree at UVA full time while I work as a school counselor. Rick proposed to me before a surprise hot air balloon ride and we’ll never forget the experience of floating over Charlottesville. We were so lucky to have Tahni as our photographer; she was able to connect our proposal experience and love for Charlottesville. Our photo shoot took place at Barboursville Vineyards with a wine bottle picnic on an old WWII-era parachute. This happened to fit perfectly, as Rick had been a paratrooper in the U.S. Army prior to graduate school. Tahni’s creativity and easygoing personality made the entire experience so memorable. We had a blast, which we think shows in the pictures.
Congratulations Jenny and Rick!
