Happy Monday everyone! Our first real Washington DC wedding this week is so ridiculously sweet – not only are Caitlin and Chris high school sweethearts, but they held a tropical destination wedding right in the heart of Washington, DC! The big day started off with a ceremony in Alexandria, Virginia before moving to downtown Washington, DC for the reception. Check back in a bit for the reception! Luckily, Rebekah J. Murray was there to capture the entire day, along with the team at Fleurish Events helping to bring all the fun tropical-inspired wedding details to life.
Chris and Caitlin were married at St. Louis Catholic Church near Caitlin’s parents’ home in Alexandria, Virginia. Caitlin decided to adopt the concept of a “destination wedding” as her theme in a nod to Chris’s Hawaiian heritage, and incorporated tropical leaves, flowers, and colors into every aspect of the ceremony and reception.
Caitlin chose sophisticated white orchids for her bridal bouquets, and stunning arrangements of green and pink tropical flowers for her bridal party.
Check back soon for more from Caitlin and Christopher’s reception at Old Ebbitt Grill in downtown Washington, DC!
p.s. Don’t forget to enter for a chance to win tickets to the Washingtonian’s bridal show on January 23!!
