Oooh, we’re in for a treat today! Not only is today’s wedding completely stunning, but is also full of eco-friendly details and elements to honor the bride’s Romanian heritage. Anca and Walker were married in July at Keswick Hall in Charlottesville, Virginia, with gorgeous images from Katie Stoops Photography and lush floral arrangements from Beehive Events – oh, and just wait until you see the food at the reception a bit later on!
From Anca: Walker and I met through work – we are both entrepreneurs in the ‘green’ world and we wanted our wedding to reflect our values. We chose Charlottesville even though we live in Washington, DC because we had been going there to visit friends and get away from the city since we started dating. We chose Keswick Hall in part because it is a gorgeous location for an outside wedding and we got engaged there!
Anca’s one-of-a-kind wedding dress was entirely custom and 100% handmade by a local designer!
My dress and fascinator were made by a local couture designer, Esther Huffman, who created an amazing dress and reused French lace from another of her wonderful creations to do it.
Some of the other ‘green’ elements we incorporated into the wedding included having a florist who used locally grown flowers and other items to make the bouquets, and having conflict-free diamonds for my rings.
