As promised, we’re back with more from Anca and Walker’s wedding (Check out their vineyard wedding ceremony!) – including some of the most beautiful wedding reception food I’ve ever seen! – at Keswick Hall in Charlottesville, Virginia. From the place cards to the centerpieces, Anca and Walker’s wedding reception is full of stunning details, all captured by Katie Stoops Photography.
From Anca: We used peaches from a nearby orchard as gifts for our guests (our florist’s idea – she is so much more than a florist!) and used 100% recycled paper for all the invitations and place cards.
I am Romanian, so we also wanted to incorporate some Romanian touches throughout, which we did through some of the deserts and music/dancing. My aunt is a great baker and made some Romanian pastries, and we started out with a Romanian group dance after our dance and the father/daughter and mother/son dances. We also had a more intimate Romanian Orthodox church wedding the following week to address that side of my culture. And for the Romanian Orthodox wedding, I was fortunate enough to wear another Esther Huffman creation.
We chose Keswick Hall in particular because the Chef, Craig Hartman, is a friend of Walker’s and, besides being an amazing person, is also an excellent chef. We knew we would get fresh, organic food combined into some culinary delight, and we weren’t disappointed!
Simply stunning! A huge congratulations to Anca and Walker, and thank you so much for sharing your day with us!
