Happy Monday everyone! Maya and Cam’s wedding comes to us from Sunny Mathur and Photographick Studios, and from the bride and groom’s beautiful love story to a stunning Hindu wedding ceremony the entire wedding just makes me happy. Maya and Cam are investment bankers from opposite corners of the world and met while working in London. On a beautiful day in October, Maya and Cam became husband and wife in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony just outside of Baltimore, followed by a reception near Baltimore Harbor.
Maya and Cam’s romance is truly the stuff of novels and movies. Maya grew up in Maryland and Cam grew up in New Zealand. Both investment bankers, they met when Maya came to London for a work rotation, and it was Cam’s job to make sure that she adjusted to her new city while on the rotation. They were inseparable the entire time Maya was in London, including the Baltimore Ravens and Haka Rugby. When Maya moved back to New York City at the end of her rotation, Cam flew to New York, marched down to 5th Avenue and the closest Tiffany’s, bought a ring, and proposed!

Maya and Cam’s wedding ceremony took place at the Hunt Valley Golf Club, minutes from Maya’s childhood home. In a nod to the ceremony location, the Baarat – the portion of a Hindu wedding ceremony when the groom is accompanied by family and friends to the wedding venue – occurred in style, with the groom ushered in on a golf cart to his beautiful bride.
After the wedding ceremony, Sunny from Photographick took the bride and groom on a tour of the golf course for some beautiful portraits – they were even able to hit a few balls around while waiting for family!
