It can be a bit tricky to pull off an outdoor wedding ceremony in November, but Beth and Jeff knew that ThorpeWood, a 155-acre mountain retreat located in Maryland’s Catoctin Mountains, was the perfect venue for their wedding last fall. Beth and Jeff love nature and became engaged while hiking; the rustic setting provided a lovely setting for both the outdoor wedding ceremony and indoor reception. Rachael from The Observatory was there to capture all the details:
Beth and Jeff’s shared love of nature was woven throughout every detail of their wedding day – from the floral arrangements to their wedding bands to the table name cards at the reception.
How adorable are these ponies at ThorpeWood?! Such a delightful surprise for guests both big and small…
For the reception, Beth and Jeff and their guests moved indoors to ThorpeWood’s main lodge, with a cozy seating area and a fireplace to help keep guests warm through the evening. Beth and Jeff chose red and orange accents to complement the lodge’s rustic interior décor.
Such a lovely fall wedding!
