As promised, we’re back with more images from Sylvia and Tim’s gorgeous spring wedding in Baltimore – captured in all of its cherry blossom glory by Jennifer McMenamin Photography.  Sylvia and Tim chose the George Peabody Library as their reception venue, and well, to say that the library is stunningly gorgeous is a severe understatement.  But before we get to the reception, Jennifer took advantage of the beautiful light and abundant cherry blossoms to capture some lovely portraits of Sylvia and Tim:

From Sylvia:  We chose to get married in the Mount Vernon area, one of our favorite historic neighborhoods in Baltimore.  Not only are Mount Vernon Square’s parks filled with gorgeous cherry trees, but Mount Vernon showcases some of Baltimore’s most lovely architecture including the Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church – Baltimore’s first church to be made of a distinctive green-toned Maryland fieldstone – and the one-of-a-kind George Peabody library.

Choosing the flowers was one of my favorite parts of planning.  Since the setting was so spectacular, we were able to keep the flowers simple and costs down, but the results were stunning. Shawn Nocher of The Floral Studio created tall centerpieces of large cherry blossom branches in clear, tall, glass vases with base lights.  The combination of the tall cherry branches with the soaring library stacks looked like a fanciful blossom forest.

Since we are both former English majors and library lovers, the Peabody library was the perfect reception venue to reflect our shared loves of architecture and literature.
