Reyna and Matt were married in a true Washington, DC wedding in every sense of the word – from the blending of Reyna and Matt’s heritage and traditions to the gorgeous ceremony at St. Peter’s Cathedral in DC’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. Leah from Studio Juno was there to capture the entire day, so let’s get started!
Reyna is such a beautiful bride! I love the beautiful lace details and embellished belt on her wedding dress.
Reyna’s mother is Indian, and Matt’s family is Scottish. Reyna is an only child, while Matt has five brothers and one sister. Their wedding was all about the blending of different traditions, as well as a celebration of Washington, DC – Reyna & Matt’s home city.
Thistles are the national flower of Scotland and were included in the bridesmaids bouquets as a nod to Matt’s family background.
After the ceremony, Reyna, Matt, and their attendants stopped by the Jefferson Memorial for portraits. It looks like Reyna and Matt couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day for their wedding!
The wedding reception took place at Sequoia at the Georgetown waterfront.
Navy and white details were incorporated throughout the reception, from the white orchid centerpieces to the wedding cake with a miniature Capitol Hill dome!
